About Us
The Liberty Socialist Front is an American anarchist and communist organization created in the summer of 2019. As of now, we have around 500 members with functioning chapters across the country.
Our Goals
Some of our activities and goals include: hosting reading groups on communist, anarchist, ecological, anti-colonial, and gender theory; distributing zines across the country, with a diverse group of topics ranging from the social potential of psychedelics to rigorous philosophy; putting out articles about current events, political practice, and other issues within the communist sphere; creating infographics and other educational media; organizing demonstrations, protests, and direct action; organizing and contributing to mutual aid drives, with a special focus on the distribution of PPE in light of COVID-19; and providing an atmosphere for gaining experience with theory and practice.
What We’ve Done
So far the Liberty Socialist Front has hosted numerous canvassing events, predominantly in New York City; throughout these events, our members have had dozens of conversations and we’ve distributed hundreds of flyers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Liberty Socialist Front also donated to Food Bank NYC. After the horrific murder of George Floyd, the Liberty Socialist Front organized protests in NYC and Kansas City, with members in NYC also distributing masks to protestors and passerbys. Most recently, the NYC LSF organized a protest against the NYPD and the IDF. More broadly, we have been operating as a zine distro in collaboration with Radical Reprints.
